On Wednesday, June 1, 2016, took place, in the Senate Hall of the POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest, the ceremony of awarding the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest, to Mr. Robert Howard GRUBBS, from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), laureate of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2005. The title was awarded following the proposal made by the representatives of the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science.
