The Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science together with the Paint Industry Association of Romania (AIVR) inaugurated on May 9, 2017 the most modern laboratory dedicated to the formulation of varnishes and paints in Romania, following an investment made with the support of BASF Romania.
The partnership between the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science and AIVR, concluded in 2016 for the purpose of training specialists for the paint industry, includes study visits by students from II and III years, internships at paint factories, updating the curriculum for the discipline "Varnishes and Paints", informing students about the European and national legislation aimed at the coatings industry, as well as internship programs launched by Romanian paint manufacturers, to attract students and the personal development of those who want to develop a professional career in the paints industry from Romania.
