The Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, the Chemical Engineering Section of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences, the Romanian Chemical Engineering Society and the Chemical Society of Romania organized, on June 20, 2014, at the Central Library of the POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest, SICHEM 2014 event.
The main session of the event was dedicated to the tribute of emeritus professors Petru BALTA, Emil DANCIU and Octavian FLOAREA, on the occasion of their 85th birthday and over 60 years of university activity in the service of chemical engineering education in Romania.
During this event, there were also sessions dedicated to the presentation of the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, 75 years after its foundation, the launch of the project POSDRU/156/1.2/G/141040 "eChemEng: Quality Education in chemical engineering higher education" and the launch of the "Bulletin of Romanian Chemical Engineering Society" magazine.
