The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) - the 21st edition was organized in Bucharest and brought together over 300 students from 52 countries. The competition tests were complex, and the competitors demonstrated their talent and educational excellence in the fields of science - CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY and PHYSICS.
On December 7 and 9, 2024, the two tests - the theoretical test and the practical test - took place at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. In this competitive and demanding environment, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology was directly involved in the organization and conduct of the competition tests.
On December 11, 2024, the award ceremony took place in the Aula Magna at POLITEHNICA Bucharest. Mrs. Prof. Dr. Eng. Cristina ORBECI, Dean of the faculty, awarded a series of medals during the award ceremony, together with representatives of the Ministry of Education, the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest and the international board of the Olympiad.
The Olympiad was truly a challenge, but passion and dedication spoke for themselves, and the success was complete, therefore those involved deserve our gratitude.
This event remains memorable for our community.
