Chemical sensors and biosensors

The research activity deals with the development of electrochemical micro-(bio)sensors, mainly amperometric and voltammetric sensors, and their application for the multianalyte detection of biologically active compounds and organic pollutants. There is a growing demand for continuous, fast, selective and sensitive monitoring of compounds of biological and environmental significance. The developed electrochemical sensors are based on electrodes modified by bio/composite materials.

Thermal analysis (TG-DSC) in the domain 20-1200 C performed with a Netzsch 449 C Jupiter apparatus. The system permits analysis in oxidant (air) or inert atmosphere (N2 or Ar). Jasco V-560 spectrophotometer with solid sample accessory, working domain 200-850nm.
