Department of Science and Engineering of Oxide Materials and Nanomaterials


  • The Department of Science and Engineering of Oxide Materials and Nanomaterials provides teaching activities in disciplines with a profile of materials science, operations and equipment, binders, glass, ceramics, biomaterials and nanomaterials, undergraduate and master's degree programs in the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnologies, as well as from other faculties in POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest.
    The Department of Science and Engineering of Oxide Materials and Nanomaterials coordinates the undergraduate program of the same name and the master's programs ''Science and Engineering of Advanced Oxide Materials and Nanomaterials'', ''Advanced Composite Materials with Special Purposes'', ''Micro and Nanomaterials'' and ''Applications Chemistry in Legal Expertise''.
  • The main research directions of the Department of Oxide and Nanomaterials Materials Science and Engineering refer to process simulation, design, synthesis and morpho-structural and functional characterization of a wide range of materials, from traditional construction materials (binder systems, bottles, ceramics), to multifunctional nanomaterials with uses in nanotechnology, composite materials and bio(nano)materials for special purposes.
